Terms of use
This is a translation for your convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.
These terms apply to the app “Claro Live CoParenting” for iPhone and iPad. They explain what the app does, what is free and what a subscription unlocks, how the subscription works and what the app is not. How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy, version datenschutz-2026-13.

2. What the app does
The app helps two separated parents keep their children's parenting plan in one place: when a child is with whom, when the child switches, which appointments are coming up, and what changes on a single day. One parent can start alone and invite the other.
The app gives both parents the same information. It does not mediate, it does not judge anyone, and it does not decide any dispute.
3. What is free and what the subscription unlocks
Free of charge: the account; entering, viewing and confirming the plan; the calendar (subscription and sync with the calendar on the device); asking and answering questions about a deviation; sending and viewing notices of a different time; entering and viewing appointments; notifications on the phone. Using these features costs nothing.
With the subscription “claro Familie” (claro Family) you also get:
- creating the sheet for the plan, for printing or passing on;
- importing appointments from your own calendar.
One subscription unlocks exactly one family in the app, for both parents. The app does not show any other member of the family who bought the subscription. Apple Family Sharing is turned off for this subscription; this refers to the family in the app, not the family in the Apple Account.
We may change the scope of the free part and of the subscription for the future. An active subscription keeps what was included when it was purchased until the end of its paid period. We announce material changes in the app in advance.
4. Purchase, renewal, cancellation and refund
Apple is the merchant. You buy the subscription from Apple in the App Store. Apple handles the purchase contract, payment, invoice and any refund under its own terms (Apple Media Services). The price is shown in the app and in Apple's purchase dialog before you buy.
- Term: one month or one year, depending on the subscription chosen.
- Renewal: The subscription renews automatically for the same term unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the Apple Account within the 24 hours before the end of the period.
- Cancellation: at any time, in your Apple Account settings, effective at the end of the current period. Until then the family remains unlocked. Deleting the app or the account in the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Refund: You request a refund from Apple. If Apple refunds a purchase, the family's unlock ends.
5. No legal advice, no evidence
The app provides no legal advice and does not replace clarification by a lawyer, a court or an authority. What is in the app is an arrangement between the parents, not a court ruling on contact or custody, and it does not change any such ruling.
The app is not evidence and is not built for that purpose. It keeps no history, no read status and no record of who kept to what, and it deletes proposals, notices and past entries after fixed periods (privacy policy, section 6).
6. Obligations when using the app
- Only enter what you are entitled to enter about your own children and your own care.
- Only invite people you know who are involved in the care.
- Do not use the app to harass, threaten or pressure another person.
- Keep your login credentials secret.
If someone seriously breaches these obligations, we may block the account after prior notice; in the case of severe breaches also without notice.
7. Availability
We strive for continuous availability but do not owe it. Maintenance, outages and circumstances beyond our control may interrupt the app temporarily. The calendar on the device is synced when iOS permits; between two syncs an entry may be out of date.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the Produkthaftungsgesetz (German Product Liability Act). In the case of slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of a material contractual obligation, meaning an obligation whose fulfilment makes use of the app possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may rely, and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
The app does not replace coordination with the person who actually picks up or looks after a child.
9. Child accounts
Child accounts are not covered by this version. The app is intended for adults.
10. Term of the user agreement and deletion
The agreement for free use runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time by deleting your account in the app. We may terminate it with four weeks' notice; an active subscription remains unaffected until the end of its paid period.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms carry an identifier. If they change, a new version with a new identifier is created, which we announce in the app before it takes effect. The old version remains available under its identifier.
12. Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
